The Good As New Shop
The Good As New Shop sells a variety of “good as new” quality items on consignment. These include but are not limited to:
- women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing and accessories
- antiques and collectibles
- kitchen items and small appliances
- household goods
- seasonal items
- games, books and CDs/DVDs
The Good As New Shop opened in 1962, with a handful of consignors in a porch of a private house. Now boasting over 200 consignors from more than 36 communities, the shop is housed in the Unitarian Universalist Area Church. Along with the many consignors, hundreds of people come to shop, visit with friends and enjoy great bargains every Wednesday. Several customers remember coming to the shop as children with their mothers.
The Good As New Shop is 100% volunteer-staffed, and we welcome new volunteers. If you have 2 or 3 hours – or a whole day – to share on a Wednesday come join us. Remember, volunteers enjoy the “first look” at all the good bargains that come in to the shop!
The Good As New Shop is operated by the Women’s Alliance of the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn, Massachusetts for the benefit if its consignors, purchasers, the Unitarian Universalist Church, and the larger community.
